Marie de Prada

Marie came to Carraragarmungee in her first Principal role in April 2014 and is loving the opportunities that learning in a small school provides for students and communities. She was previously Assistant Principal at Killara Primary School in Sunbury-a school of 640 students and over 50 staff, where her major role was improving learning and teaching practices. Marie has taught mostly in Sunbury schools in a career spanning 45+years. She has taught at all year levels, been a Music and Science Specialist teacher and is passionate about learning for life. Working on a major project with Swinburne University several years ago ignited her passion for understanding the importance of social and emotional learning for developing the whole child’s wellbeing, academic progress and their ability to get along with others.
